Can you believe that graduation is almost upon us again?!  Remember that our soon-to-be alumni can retain USM library privileges.  Check out the Alumni Cards page for more information.

Another resource that alumni–and everyone else–can use is the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).  This database contains reputable scholarly journals that bypass the traditional subscription process.    You can reach DOAJ directly at http://www.doaj.org.  You can also access it via the library homepage (Choose the Articles tab, and then click on D.).  Once you are in the database, you can browse for journals by subject, or you can search for articles on your topic. For more information about open access publishing check out the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC) website.

Congratulations and best wishes to our grads.   Keep reaching for your dreams.  Keep reaching for the moon!
