Often I find myself showing students resources that assume knowledge of how a journal is set up (in yearly volumes, with issues containing articles). Many people haven’t been exposed to this structure, especially when online databases can separate the article from its context. I’ve recorded a video that both explains journal structure and demonstrates one way in which to use it.
Please feel free to link to the video in your courses. I have fun recording the screencasts, but I have more fun when people are using them.
At press time I’m recording a sequel. Stay tuned!
