Databases for finishing touches

When the students return from Spring Vacation, they will be working on final projects.  Here are some article databases that will help them with that final push:

JSTOR

This is actually a collection of databases, but you can search the collection at one time.  These databases provide access to  a large number of full-text scholarly articles.

Project MUSE

This database is especially strong in the humanities and social sciences.  It features full-text scholarly articles and electronic books as well.

Web of Science

Even without full text the records in this database have other convenient features.  The easy-to-find DOI, for example, saves time with APA citation format.  The readily available abstract also helps you determine whether or not an entire article will be relevant for a given project–particularly one in the physical or natural sciences.

These resources will help students put the finishing touches on their papers or presentations.  Share the information with your students.  Try these databases out for yourselves.
