Can you believe finals are drawing near?!   The libraries are a great place to study and to relax.

Of course the USM libraries have special hours for the finals period.  Since each library has different hours, please check the finals hours page for your library’s schedule.  Take note of the special Late Nite on each campus:

  • Gorham: Sunday, December 9, noon-1:00 a.m.
  • Lewiston: Tuesday, December 11, 8:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.
  • Portland: Sunday, December 16, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 a.m.

The research process can be stressful at times (Kuhlthau, 2004).  The libraries also have stress-relief resources, including leisure reading and the Hobbies & Crafts Reference Center database.

Use these services and resources yourself.  Spread the word to your students. Bring your teddy bear.
